  7. Send in your deposit. To complete the booking process, you'll send in your signed booking agreement along with a 50% deposit, payable by personal or certified check, money order, bank transfer or credit card.
  8. Remit the balance of your charter fee. At least 45 days before your vacation begins, you'll be asked to pay the balance of your charter fee, unless you pay by personal check, in which case you'll need to pay the balance within 60 days.
Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your yacht or sailboat vacation for any reason, please note that Waypoint may be unable to refund your payment.

Cancellation with more than 30 days notice will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit outlined in our Booking Details section, unless we are able to re-book your vessel for the original charter dates.

Cancellation with 30 or less days notice will result in forfeiture of your entire charter fee, unless we are able to re-book your vessel during the original dates. If your vessel is re-booked for some or all of your original trip dates, Waypoint will gladly refund you on a pro-rated basis.

Inclusive and Plus All Expenses Vacations
When planning your charter vacation, it's important to know whether the cost of your package includes all expenses (inclusive) or whether you will be charged extra for certain services and amenities (plus all expenses). Offerings vary from region to region, so be sure to ask whether your charter is inclusive or plus all expenses.

"Inclusive" rates cover the cost of your vessel, its crew, all food and house-brand beverages and any sports equipment available onboard. Beyond these expenses, you are responsible only for airfare, off-vessel excursions and any food or bar requests deemed extraordinary. Most yachts based in the Caribbean are offered on an inclusive basis, although those outside US and British Virgin Islands waters do charge for beverages.

"Plus all expenses" charters charge a base rate plus fees for services and amenities including food, beverages, taxes, dockage, fuel, sports equipment and incidentals. To estimate expenses, follow the general rule of adding 20-35% to your base charter rate. Expenses for sailing yachts are generally less than those for motor yachts.

About Gratuities
Regardless of whether your charter is inclusive or plus all expenses, crew gratuities are extra. It is customary to leave a 15-20% tip if you are happy with the service provided. The members of your crew are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! A significant portion of their wages depend on your monetary show of appreciation.
