Greek Isles
 |
|
We would like to introduce you to the wonders of sailing around the Greek Islands. The owner,
and skipper, of these boats has worked hard preparing to host guests with disabilities from
all over the world. His goal is to make your sailing holiday the most enjoyable and memorable
experience of your life.
His goal has been to make sailing accessible and fun to all, especially to those who are
physically challenged. He has consulted with experts in special needs and
has outfitted his
sailing boats for handicapped people by arranging a wide gangway, 90 cm, that rests at the
same level as the port pier.

While sailing, guests can relax and enjoy the view of the exotic
Greek Isles in the comfort and protection of unique couches on the deckhouse where you are
sheltered from the heat, wind, rain, or sea spray. The bathroom facilities are engineered with
ample space, and the double-bedded cabins are designed for easy access. The yachts have seat
belts on all seats, and handles are placed around the yacht to make moving about easy and
safe. |

This sailing resource operates in the Saronic and Argolic islands, where the weather
conditions are ideal, the ports have an easy access, and where it is never more than 4 hours
sailing time from one port to the next. During sailing you will visit wonderful bays for
swimming, resting and leisure. The boats are new and well maintained, with special safety
equipment that allows guests to fully participate in, and enjoy vacations on the sea.

These yachts have been praised by distinguished personalities of the disabled sailing
community, such as Ian Harrison, President of IFDS, who was a guest during the Athens 2004
Paralympic sailing regatta. Along with Mr. Harrison, other disabled members of the
International Paralympics Committee, International Sailing Federation, and various national
sailing organizations enjoyed watching the Paralympics regatta from one of the yachts, 'Solis
Invictis'.
The people who operate these yachts are in continuous touch and cooperation with the Greek
Sailability branch, with both Greek and international universities who research on
accessibility and smart adaptations in order to facilitate the lives of disabled people, and
also IFDS, IPC and ISAF. |
