Itinerary
A SAMPLE ITINERARY
We offer many different types of charters which are customized to your
desires. On our longer trips you will visit more islands & some very unique
areas further away from La Paz. We usually recommend a five night trip. Our
itineraries are very flexible, and also depend on the weather conditions.
Let me know what you would like, & I'll work out a package price for you.
You do not need any boating experience to have a great time on any of our
trips. Over 60% of our guests have never been on a sail boat.
This is ONLY ONE EXAMPLE
Five night / six day charter
Arrival Day...
Your Baja Adventure starts as you fly in over the local islands & scenic bay
of La Paz. You would normally spend this night in a hotel. If you wish you
could depart later in the afternoon. Return time would stay the same. You
would normally board your boat at 10:30am on Day 1.
Day 1...
After boarding we'll leave the beautiful bay of La Paz around 11:00am. We
usually will have lunch underway or at a local anchorage. We should arrive
at our nighttime anchorage by 4pm. Your day will be spent underway, enjoying
a sail and any wildlife we encounter. That evening you will enjoy cocktails
as you experience one of our famous Baja Sunsets, while a superb dinner is
being prepared.
Day 2...
After a great breakfast we'll leave for Isla San Francisco, & about 3-4
hours later will arrive at this little gem of an island for lunch. Your
afternoon can be spent exploring, diving, sailing, snorkeling, fishing,
kayaking or just relaxing. We will spend our night here, and as the sun
sets over the Sierra Gigantes we will enjoy another magnificent sunset.
Day 3...
After breakfast we depart for one of the many beautiful small coves on Isla
Partida. Activities before & after lunch may include sailing, kayaking,
searching for wildlife, swimming, snorkeling, fishing or just relaxing.
After cocktails you will enjoy another great dinner, and the peace and
solitude of this secluded island.
Day 4...
We are off to Los Islotes. This is the largest sea lion colony in the Sea of
Cortez.You can dive and snorkel with the baby sea lions, or kayak around
the island, & observe these interesting animals up close in their natural
habitat. For those who would prefer the launch, we can explore Los
Islotes with our skiff. We then spend the day at Ensenada Grande,
one of the most beautiful bays on Isla Partida.
Day 5...
After breakfast we will depart for one of the anchorages near La Paz. We
will anchor at one of the coves on Isla Espiritu Santo for lunch. After
lunch we will get in one last sail as we work our way across the San
Lorenzo channel. Depending on the time of year we will either anchor at
Bahia Balandra, Caleta Lobos or Bahia Pichilingue. If the winds are from
the west we may anchor in the bay of La Paz.
Day 6...
After breakfast we will get underway and arrive at the Marina by 11am.
